FAQ

What's the difference between a channel ID and a handle?

A channel ID (starting with "UC") is YouTube's internal unique identifier. A handle (@name) is a user-chosen name. Both can be used in YouTube API calls.

Why can't this find all IDs automatically?

Some URL formats (like /c/custom or /user/) map to an internal ID that is only available via the YouTube API. This tool extracts what's in the URL itself.
